\r\n\r\nRemember that in peer review, \u00a0you don't need to cast judgment on a classmate's work.<\/strong>You don't need to offer suggestions or act as a coach. You don't need to correct things.\r\n\r\nIn peer review, your job is to act as a reader and to communicate your reading experience to the writer.<\/span><\/strong> Be honest, be accurate, be detailed. Be descriptive. Write in such a way that you offer your genuine readerly perspective to your partner, not a list of directions or directives.\r\n

Helpful Peer Review Phrases<\/h3>\r\n

Try to offer several statements from each category<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\r\nTo offer observations of assignment goals met<\/strong>\r\n

  4. I do not see a Works Cited<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\nTo express places where you struggled as a reader<\/strong>\r\n

    1. In your ________ paragraph I<\/strong> <\/span>see....but I<\/span> <\/strong>do not see....<\/li>\r\n \t
    2. My understanding<\/span> <\/strong>is that the thesis of this paper should _______. I<\/span> <\/strong>did not clearly see ______ in your thesis. Instead, I<\/span><\/strong> see (explain).<\/li>\r\n \t
    3. I<\/strong> <\/span>was confused by this sentence (share the sentence) and I<\/span> <\/strong>took it to mean (explain how you read that sentence).<\/li>\r\n \t
    4. In paragraph ______ I<\/strong> <\/span>thought that, based on what you said in the first sentence, the whole paragraph would discuss X.
