Salaries in the nonprofit housing sector can vary widely depending on the role, organization size, and location. Entry-level positions, such as volunteer coordinators or community outreach specialists, typically offer salaries ranging from $35,000 to $45,000 per year. Mid-level roles, like project managers or program directors, can earn between $50,000 and $70,000 annually, while senior leadership positions, such as executive directors of nonprofits or CDCs, can earn upwards of $80,000 to $120,000. However, these salaries are generally lower than what similar roles might earn in private sector development firms.  

While compensation may not be as high as in the private sector, nonprofit housing jobs often come with other benefits that attract many professionals.
