Chapter 4. Collecting Data

There are many ways to collect data to track progress towards instructors’ inclusive teaching goals. For the purposes of this toolkit we provide access to two data tools.

The first data tool we encourage toolkit users to engage in their work is the Protocol for Advancing Inclusive Teaching Efforts (PAITE). The PAITE is an observational tool that allows instructors to track inclusive teaching practices in their classroom over time. Our team is trained to administer the PAITE and would be happy to work with you by observing your class using the PAITE as well as training you to use the PAITE.
