9.14 Secretary of State

The Secretary of State is Ohio’s chief elections officer, responsible for overseeing voter registration, election processes, and maintaining election-related records. This office also handles business filings and public records, ensuring that companies and individuals are authorized to operate in Ohio. The Secretary of State plays a crucial role in administering election laws and is involved in the apportionment process for legislative districts​​.
