With 50,000 people working for the state of Ohio, learning about a few key positions in the Governor’s cabinet is the first step to better understanding this large bureaucracy. Here are some notable positions:

  • Director of Administrative Services – This person manages all the behind-the-scenes work like purchasing supplies, managing state properties, and handling human resources. Knowing about this role helps you see how the state government stays efficient and supports other departments.
