17.2 Special Districts in Northeast Ohio

Prominent special districts operating in Northeast Ohio include:

  • Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District (NEORSD) – Responsible for wastewater treatment and stormwater management across several communities in Northeast Ohio, including Cleveland. It was established by a judicial directive to address major environmental problems.
